Mr. Meehan established Meehan Architects in 1981, having worked in architectural firms in New Hampshire and Colorado since 1971. The firm renovated a historic Victorian Carriage House in Manchester's North End as its first studio office space.

Projects have encompassed a wide variety of building types including health-care facilities, banks and credit unions, churches, office buildings, retail malls, industrial, residential and multi-family design.

Residential projects have ranged from kitchen renovations to multi-million dollar mansions and vacation homes.

The firm has specialized in unique,"one of a kind" projects with challenging program requirements.
